Welcome to the KAWO 2026 Native Plant Sale
As in recent years, you will purchase your plants online and pick them up at Hidden Savanna Nursery. Some details and procedures are different this year, so please read the information below carefully.
All proceeds from the Spring 2026 Native Plant Sale directly support Kalamazoo Area Wild Ones and our mission to help inform, educate, and offer resources to people interested in learning about native plants.
Important Dates
Friday, May 1, 9:00am: sale opens (access the sale pages via the green buttons below)
Friday, May 22, 5:00pm: sale closes (links to sale pages will no longer be available)
Wednesday, May 27, 12:00-4:00pm and Thursday, May 28, 4:00-8:00pm: pick up plants (details below)
Using the Sale Web Pages
Accessing the sale pages
This year there are two separate sale pages: one for forbs/flowers (47 items) and a second for all other plant types, including grasses and sedges, shrubs, trees, and ferns (15 items). If you desire items from both sales pages, you must make two separate purchases. (There is no extra cost to doing so.) Click on the buttons below to access the sale pages, starting at 9 am on Friday, May 1.
A note about plant descriptions
This year we have expanded our descriptions of the plants for sale. We have included information about sun and soil requirements, plant height, bloom time, life cycle, ecological functions, and deer resistance. Please note that no plant can be guaranteed as deer-proof! Take into account the deer pressure in your area.
Checking out
Our sales page is through Zeffy and allows us to get the full value of your payments and donations without processing fees. At payment, Zeffy asks you to make an optional tip that would go to the company. You do not need to do so – simply select “other” and leave the contribution blank.
Wild Ones Member Discount
Wild Ones members receive a 5% discount on plant purchases. You may use your discount on both sale pages. Receive your discount by entering a code at checkout. Note that the discount code is not the same as your Wild Ones member number. All members will use the same code. Click on the green button below to get the code. (You will be prompted to log in to your Wild Ones account.)
If you’re not sure of the status of your membership, you can check it on the Wild Ones membership page. Joining or renewing will give you access to the discount code page linked to the button below.
Picking Up Your Plants
Wild Ones volunteers will pack your plant order and have it available for you to pick up from our supplier, Hidden Savanna Nursery, 100 N Van Kal St. (If you order from both sale pages we will combine your plants into one order.)
Pick up your plant order during one of these times:
Wednesday, May 27, 12:00-4:00pm
Thursday, May 28, 4:00-8:00pm
Note that the Wednesday time slot is earlier than last year’s. Please make sure you will be able to pick up your plants during one of the scheduled pickup times before you place your order.
